SHIPPING, RETURNS, AND REFUNDS

Welcome to the operational nuts and bolts.

SHIPPING

Shipping is free in the lower 48 US States. Actual shipping cost to Hawaii and Alaska will be calculated at checkout. We are currently not shipping out of the United States, but this may change in the future. In the interim, you'll need to have your speakers sent to a friend in the United States who can then forward them along to you.

  • We will fulfill your order from our distribution center in Huntley, Illinois.
  • Shipments are sent via UPS Ground without a signature required. If you have concerns about leaving packaged unattended at your home, we suggest you ship your order to a location where the package will be secure.
  • Shipping takes on average 2 to 4 days to most states once it has left our facility.
  • Orders usually ship within one business day after the order is placed.
  • Once your order ships, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. If you do not receive this email, be sure to check your spam/filtered email folder. If you still don't receive your shipping confirmation order within 2 to 3 business days, please contact us using the contact form here.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

International shipping is current available to Canada, Australia, and select European and Middle Eastern countries. Costs vary widely based on location and are visible at checkout. If you do not see your country listed, or checkout is not available, please contact us directly for a custom shipping quote.

We've had reports of some customers paying additional import duties and customs fees upon recieving their new speakers whereby others paid none. You assume this liability upon placing your order; Terra Acoustics has no liability for any addtional fees associated with international shipments as we do not collect any taxes, fees, or duties at the time of purchase.

All shipping fees related to returns or warranty replacement requiring shipment back to the United States are borne by the customer. We are working on establishing international distributors to support customers outside of the USA, but until stated explicitly here in these terms all costs shall be paid by the purchaser.

MISSING PACKAGES

We do everything in our power to carefully package and promptly ship your order. However, once we hand your package over to the shipping company (FedEx, UPS, or USPS), we can't control weather delays or the occasional lost package. If a package goes missing, we'll take the following steps:

  • We will reach out to the shipping company directly and have them start an investigation.
  • If the package is deemed "lost" by the shipping company, we will file a claim on your behalf. Please note that most shipping companies will not allow a claim to be filed until 10 business days after the package goes missing. International packages can be up to 40 days.
  • We will not ship a replacement package during this time period as it can cause them to deny the original claim.
  • Once we have officially filed the claim on with the shipping company, we will issue you a refund for the missing package.

RETURNS

Returns are covered by Terra Acoustics in the following cases (only in the United States):

  • Unhappy with the product's performance within the risk-free 60 day audition period. Not only will we cover the shipping back to us and issue a full refund, our team will make an appointment for you at your local audiologist to have your hearing evaluated (we're kidding, sort of ...).
  • Asteroid impact on planet Earth. Heck, weirder things have happened.

If you simply decide you don't want the speakers after you've ordered them and have never installed them, you'll be responsible for the return costs back to Terra Acoustics within the 60 day audition period. But c'mon - it takes 10 minutes to install them! Listen to the speakers, and you'll wonder why you ever considered sending them back in the first place.

Also, please note that returns must be packaged exactly as shipped. If there is any damage to the aluminum midrange cones (dents, creases, wiring marks from improper tweeter harness routing) there will be a 20% restocking fee assessed. If the midranges and/or tweeter grilles are not securely packaged and simply thrown into the outer box and not packaged as sent by Terra Acoustics, the package will be returned to customer and no refund will be issued.

REFUNDS

Simply install your new speakers, give them a thorough audition using our Spotify playlist as well as your favorite tunes, and fully experience your new speakers for a good 2-3 hours of listening time as they continue to break in. Make sure all settings on your radio/source unit are set to flat, that all device EQ modes are set to "off" or "flat", and you'll be enjoying your music like never before. If by some strange reason you find yourself not in love with your music again, we'll cover the return shipping and give you a full refund.

Then, before you send them back, there are a couple things to note:

  • We highly suggest making sure everything is securely packaged and that no damage has occurred to the speakers or grilles prior to your return shipment. (See the note about shipping back returns above.)
  • Upon receiving your return and evaluating the product to ensure no damage was done during installation, a full refund will be issued using your same payment method within 5 business days should everything arrive back to us in re-sellable condition.
  • In the event that product arrives back to us in a compromised condition due to improper installation or physical damage, it will be documented and we'll be in touch via email with details on how your refund will be processed less replacement costs of damaged product(s). If you've damaged something during the installation process, reach out to us and we'll see what we can do to help; we all make mistakes.
